More info

The city of Seki has been the Japanese center for blacksmithing since the 14th century - those who make knives here know their craft: just like MIYABI, because German engineering meets Japanese craftsmanship here. In 42 days and 100 steps, knives are created that shine with perfect sharpness, precise cuts and long durability. Their design is reminiscent of traditional samurai swords. Let yourself be carried away into the world of Japanese knives!

The bread knife from the MIYABI 5000FCD series impresses with its outstanding hardness and sharpness. With the 24 cm long blade of the knife, you can effortlessly cut white bread, crusty baguettes and moist wholemeal bread or rolls exactly in half without tearing them. The bread knife from MIYABI impresses with an FC61 core embedded in 48 layers of stainless steel. This structure of the blade gives it the typical damask pattern that is unique to every knife. The knife marked with FRIODUR® is refined by a special double ice hardening, which determines its quality. This gives the cutting edge a longer service life and makes it corrosion-resistant. The special serrated edge makes the bread knife a sharp cutting tool with which you can also cut very hard or juicy types of bread. Thanks to the ergonomic D-shaped handle, the knife sits comfortably in your hand and allows you to cut without tiring, even when working for a long time. The stable bread knife also impresses aesthetically across the board. The pattern of the Damascus steel forms an elegant contrast to the wooden look of the Pakkawood handle.
Two decorative red rings on the black handle underline the typically Japanese look of the bread knife.
