More info

The city of Seki has been the Japanese center for blacksmithing since the 14th century - those who make knives here know their craft: just like MIYABI, because German engineering meets Japanese craftsmanship here. In 42 days and 100 steps, knives are created that shine with perfect sharpness, precise cuts and long durability. Their design is reminiscent of traditional samurai swords. Let yourself be carried away into the world of Japanese knives!

The MIYABI Santoku knife combines modern aestheticswith Japanese tradition. The sharp blade of the precision knife consists of an FC61 core layer, which is surrounded by 48 layers of Damascus steel. This combination of materials forms the basis for the beautiful Damascus grain of the blade of the Santoku knife. In addition, red decorative rings on the end cap of the handle and a logo pin in the mosaic design complete the exotic look of the knife. The blade is made of the highest quality steel, which is characterized by a high carbon content. A special hardening process - double ice hardening - refines the FRIODUR ® blade, making it particularly robust, hard, flexible and corrosion-resistant. The ultimate sharpness, comparable to a straight razor, is provided by the Honbazuke trigger on both sides. Traditionally, the finest whetstones are used in the most careful manual work. The traditional D handle is made from Pakkawood. The material not only ensures a particularly attractive appearance, but also guarantees slip resistance during cutting work. The blade and handle form a unit that makes an excellent balance of any cutting work a breeze. With the santoku knife from the MIYABI 5000FCD series, you can prepare delicate dishes without tiring, because it allows you to quickly and precisely cut vegetables, meat or fish and chop herbs. but also guarantees slip resistance during cutting work.
