More info

The city of Seki has been the Japanese center for blacksmithing since the 14th century - those who make knives here know their craft: just like MIYABI, because German engineering meets Japanese craftsmanship here. In 42 days and 100 steps, knives are created that shine with perfect sharpness, precise cuts and long durability. Their design is reminiscent of traditional samurai swords. Let yourself be carried away into the world of Japanese knives!

With the Shotoh knife from MIYABI, you can even cut meat and fish into the finest slices. This knife has a blade that is as sharp as a razor. You can use it to cut through even hard food without any effort. The Shotoh also impresses with its interesting look, because it is manufactured in a special, very complex process. The core of the 14 cm long blade consists of high-quality and particularly hard FC61 steel. This core is surrounded by a total of 48 layers of steel. At the same time, these many layers give the blade a beautiful and, above all, unique damask pattern, which makes it look very noble. The blade is double ice-hardened and therefore robust and durable. It has an authentic Japanese profile, is honed on both sides and has a Honbazuke trigger. The handle of MIYABI's Shotoh knife is made of robust, black Pakkawood. It has the traditional, ergonomic D-shape and therefore enables you to work for longer periods without tiring. At its lower end there is a steel end cap and a red decorative ring that gives it a slightly exotic look. This high-quality knife from the MIYABI 5000FCD series with a blade made of 49 layers of steel provides you with excellent service for all cutting work and at the same time makes your kitchen equipment look professional.
