The city of Seki has been the Japanese center for blacksmithing since the 14th century - those who make knives here know their craft: just like MIYABI, because German engineering meets Japanese craftsmanship here. In 42 days and 100 steps, knives are created that shine with perfect sharpness, precise cuts and long durability. Their design is reminiscent of traditional samurai swords. Let yourself be carried away into the world of Japanese knives!
The Gyutoh knife with an authentic Japanese blade profile combines maximum functionality with aesthetic design and Far Eastern elegance. The shapely knife with a blade length of 16 cm not only impresses with the eye-catching, unique damask pattern. The precision of this very sharp knife from the MIYABI 5000FCD series also meets the highest demands. The blade core of the Gyutoh is embedded in 48 layers of steel. The core layer itself consists of high-quality FC61 steel, a particularly high-quality special steel with an outstanding hardening of around 61 HRC. In order to achieve the optimum degree of hardness, every FRIODUR® blade undergoes a special hardening process: double ice hardening. With this hardening process, the blade is refined in a way that determines its quality and is given exceptional edge retention and corrosion resistance. The Honbazuke trigger on both sides gives the knife's 16 cm long blade an impressive sharpness that is reminiscent of a straight razor. The high-quality Damascus knife has a visually appealing black handle made of high-quality, robust Pakkawood. The light, resilient material and the special D-handle shape enable a good balance with optimal control and fatigue-free work with all cutting techniques. The decorative steel end cap of the knife is given an unusual look by a red decorative ring. With the Gyutoh you can effortlessly prepare many delicious dishes,
