Handmade ceramic tagine for slow, flavourful cooking. Fits all stovetops (except induction). Not recommended for wood-fired ovens. Capacity: 2 L.
The Emile Henry Flame Tagine is a handmade ceramic cooking vessel, ideal for slow and gentle cooking. Its conical lid circulates steam evenly, helping retain moisture and tenderness in your dishes.
Versatile and durable:
Heat-resistant up to 450 °C and suitable for:
all stovetops (except induction)
oven and microwave use
dishwasher safe
Before first use:
Cover the bottom with milk or soy milk, heat gently to near boiling, let cool, then wash. Alternatively, heat 1 L of water with 150 g of rice on low heat for 5 minutes.
Important usage tips:
Never heat the pot empty – always start with oil or liquid.
Begin cooking over low heat.
Do not place a hot pot on a cold surface or in cold water – use wood or textile protection.
Natural character:
Tiny cracks may appear in the glaze, especially on lighter products – these are not defects but signs of thermal resistance.
This tagine is handmade, and slight irregularities on the surface are normal and do not affect function.
